Happy Year of The Dragon!
The Village of Ucluelet is located on the west coast of British Columbia in Canada. We are a small friendly town who welcomes people to vacation and enjoy the pristine rugged beauty of this natural environment. Accommodations in Ucluelet include Bed & Breakfasts, Cabins and Cottages and Vacation Houses for every taste and budget. Activites abound in and around Ucluelet: whale watching, bear watching, fishing, kayaking, surfing, hiking, biking. Visit Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park and soak in the sun, walk the long, long sandy beach, swim, surf, boogie or skim board in the ocean or just kick back and let life wash over you until you feel light enough to float away. But don't go too far because there's still more: explore the famous Wild Pacific Trail and walk the trail through old-growth forest and along the ocean's edge letting your eyes scan for eagles, whales over the open ocean views.
Pacific Rim National Park
The Pacific Rim National Park is on both sides of Ucluelet. To the south are the Broken Group Islands, an archipelago of pristinely beautiful islands in Barkley Sound. Enjoy a boat cruise through the islands to view the natural splendor and the local wildlife: whales, bears, deer, eagles, seals, sea lions, salmon... or bring your kayak and take your time paddling the waters and camping on sandy beaches. North of the village of Ucluelet is the Long Beach section of the PRNP and home to sandy beaches (Long Beach, Wickaninnish Beach, Florencia Beach Combers Beach...), forest trails (Half Moon, Combers, Schooner, Rainforest, Bog...) Radar Hill, and the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre to name a few things to do in the park.
Lifestyle of Ucluelet
Ucluelet began as most small towns in British Columbia with pioneers living with nature and creating a community where people know each other and work together to provide a strong sense of well being. Come and vacation at our home and we'll show you how to live our west coast style - with a spring in your step and a smile on your face!
