Cycling to Ucluelet

Cycle to Tofino, BC, GoTofino.com Cycling to Tofino is a great way to get here and once in Tofino the roads are safe and a separated bike/walking/skating path is a welcome addition. While Highway 4 has some really nice sections with wide shoulders and smooth pavement other sections are rough and have no shoulder. It can be very tight with the traffic.

One smart and enjoyable suggestion I heard from some touring cyclists is to ride to Port Alberni then take the M.V. Frances Barkley boat to Ucluelet. Cycling up to Tofino from Ucluelet is a 30 km ride with bike paths in both villages and a highway with a bit of a shoulder between them.
